I was playing a gig yesterday and a little girl came up and asked what I was playing and was it the instrument that played the theme song to this TV show. And could I play that song for her. I was pleased that the instrument could intrigue some one so young. I wished I knew the tune so I could play it for her. I say thank you Sponge Bob for taking our instrument out to the younger younger generation!!

b0b, does your band do that on stage??

A friend of mine's band does the theme from Gilligan's Island, and people LOVE it.

I've played it at grade schools with Mr. Music. The kids love to sing along.

I'm pretty sure 'Brandin' from the Forum does the actual song with the Blue Hawaiians, please correct me if that isn't right.

Gary Brandin is the perpetrator, yes. And he does, or did, lots of the soundtrack as well. Awesome player.

Craig, The Blue Hawaiians did a lot of the
music for SpongeBob, but we didn't do that
one. At the time we didn't think much of
doing music for a cartoon, we had bigger
plans.(LOL) Had it not been for the $$
we would have let it pass. Well it seems
to have work out for the best.

Keith, thanks for the kind words!
