![]() I just got this CD yesterday and it is great. I judge a CD by how many times I have to play along with it and how many licks I can steel. In this case I got a great one from the great Mr. Emmons. It also has a DVD that shows the making of the CD. I have watched it four times. A must buy for true country music lovers! |

![]() He also just made a new one with Merle Haggard. Merle sings Georges songs and George sings Merle's. Good CD. Believe Paul Franklin is playing steel on it. [This message was edited by Dave Diehl on 01 November 2006 at 03:24 PM.] |

![]() Ken, when was this released? Is this the new project or something previously done? ------------------ |

![]() From what I can tell from reviews I've read, it's got just two George Jones cuts (one new, one re-released "Beer Run") and the rest are other people singing George Jones hits. |

![]() I believe it is a fairly recent project judging by where I found it in the WalMart. It is other artists singing George's songs. Vince Gill sings "She Thinks I Still Care" on it. As I said, the DVD that comes with it is very entertaining. A lot of testimonial to George and of course some of the songs being filmed while recorded. |

![]() The name of the album is "KICKIN' OUT THE FOOTLIGHTS again" Jones sings Haggard, Haggard sings Jones. 16 songs on the CD. The drummer in the band sent it home with me last night. I'm puttin' it on now. It's got to be good. |

![]() Well I counted wrong. There's 14 songs on the album. If you like Haggard or Jones or both, you will enjoy this album. It's top of the line. Footlights, The race is on. The way I am, She thinks I still care, All my Freinds are strangers, Things have gone to pieces, I think I'll just stay here and drink, Born with the blues, Sick, sober & sorry, I always get lucky with you, Sing me back home,The window up above, You take me for granted, Don't get around much anymore. For the most part Jones sings Haggard songs, and Haggard sings Jones songs. So basicly it's new music, and I'm proud to say I'm in a band that plays this kind of music and are busy every weekend.
