Topic: Mesa Boogie studio preamp 110 - 220 V rewire? What trafo?

Hello!
I purchased a Studio preamp in the US about a year ago. I have used an external step down transformer to get the desired 115 V power. To me it would have been better if I didn't have to bring the extra step-down transformer everywhere.
I know that Mesa for many years used so called export-trafo's in their amps, so that a simple rewire on the trafos primary input was all it took to get it to 220 V.
I'm not sure if my Mesa has this export-trafo.
Does anyone know anything about this?
If anyone has a picture of what a export-trafo in a mesa boogie studio preamp would look like, I would love to see it!

I left Mesa before the Studio Preamp came out, but I did wire up a lot of amps there.As I recall, the power transformers included 110 and 220 taps. We would use the appropriate wires and put shrink wrap over the unused ones. There might have been differences in the power supply circuit as well. (It's been a long time since I looked at one of those amps!)

I got this reply from one of my amp tech friends at Mesa/Boogie: quote:
It's easy to convert the Studio Preamp. 100, 117 and 230 are all available. The customer needs to contact Mesa Boogie and request the
"AC wiring for Studio Series diagram"
