Lonnie played through some version of a small Magnatone amp back in the 60's. Does anyone here know what model number that would be?

He started with a model 460 (which had 2 twelves), and later went with a model 440 (using the preamp-side only), which he fed into a Twin head, and then into a Bassman cabinet. He was also known to use a Twin and a Roland Jazz Chorus together. Lonnie was the "big boomer" for those days, and he paved the way for all rock guitarists that came after him.

I have a couple of Lonnie's albums but,my fav is "The 'Wham' Of That 'Memphis' Man",on Fraternity Records. In fact,when I was workin' w/ Tommy Overstreet,we used "Wham" to bring him on. If any of you have the T.O. album of,"T.O.,Live At The Silver Slipper In Las Vegas",you'll hear "Wham". Lonnie was/is one of my favorite "pickers".
