Hey there,

Like b0b, I just ebayed a pod and I'm figuring out its usefulness.

Can you set the cabinets on the unit itself, or do you have to do it with the software? Mine didn't come with the original manuel.

Can the manual be downloaded somewhere?

Thanks!
Steve

Steve,

manuals can be downloaded from the Line 6 homepage: http://www.line6.com/manuals.html

On the POD 2.0 you have access to the speaker cabinet models right from the POD: hold the Tap button and turn the Effects knob to choose the cabs.

You can also download the editing software "Line 6 Edit" directly from Line 6's homepage. There are Windows and Mac versions. You'll have to have a MIDI interface on your computer, though.

Hope to have helped,

Rainer

Definitely get a hold of a manual, download or otherwise. There's a bunch of stuff that you aren't likely to accidently stumble upon that will, uh, enhance your Pod experience. Rainer is correct re: the cab selection procedure--including the "no cab" (6 o'clock position) option which, if you are going into an amp, is your best choice for clearing away some muddiness.

Guys, Go to this site for POD patches: http://www.geocities.com/SunsetStrip/Studio/2786/pod-patches.html
Then get your SoundDiver kicked up and have fun. Some great amps here. Seems that the patches work better for the POD 2.0. I upgraded and these didn't 'seem' to sound as good as they did prior to the upgrade.
