I would like to know if you can
plug one 4 ohm speaker into this
head without ill effects? Not
sure of the year but it has a
bass on the right end of the amp
and instruments on the other.
thanks

I can't remember a Peavey amp rated at more than 4 ohms. The old Musician (400) series was rated at 220 watts at 2 ohms ( I had one, brand new back in 1972). You should have a power and impedance label by the speaker jacks. Any impedance equal to or high than that is OK. The amp merely produces less power at a higher impedance.
