I ran across a pair of these and am wondering what model speaker is in them.
are they the same black widow they use in the steel amps?

Weren't the speaker cabinets for steel guitar designated 115E's?

My factory 115E's have got Black Widow 1501-4's in them !

115H are PA cabs with a horn and a 15.Just wondering if anyone knows whats in there to save me the trouble of pulling the speakers.

Rich, from Peavey Monitor 1991: The 115H is a small portable sound reinforcement system having 1ea. 15" Scorpion #S-15825 speaker and 1 CDH multi-flare horn and a flange adaptor for stand mounting.
8ohms impedance. Hope this helps JO.
They may have used different drivers at different times though, if the ones you are referring to are indeed Black Widows, then this info is no help.

Thanks Jerry that sounds right.They are from that era.I experimented and ran a line off an amp and they didn't set my hair on fire for steel.Decent PA speakers though especially cause they where free...

Jerry is correct. Sorry that I didn't respond sooner, but I just returned to work after a week of vacation and to say the least I was "snowed under" with e-mails and phone calls.
