After hearing so many good things about the 112 I decided to test drive one today at Steel Guitar Nashville. After Bobbe was so kind to let me test drive , I purchased the amp at a very fair and reasonable price.
The amp is outstanding. The Nashville 112 performs much as a bigger, heavyduty steel guitar amp with much less weight, all the volume, depth, clarity and tone. Needless to say, I'm very pleased with my purchase. Bravo Peavey, job well done.

Nice to hear a good endorsement from the top.I've never been dissapointed with mine. Even a couple gigs where I thought I'd be miked, or I'd have brought my Nshv. It cut through just fine. The compression kicks on high vol, in but doesn't seem to be as pronounced as the Session 500. Pretty smooth. Another winner from Peavey. Now.. about that emblem...  EJL |

Tommy, I haven't seen you in quite awhile. Thanks for trying the Nashville 112 amplifier. It has turned out to be a "sleeper" model for us.Eric, I know, I know. Ha! |

Same thing here. I took my ZB Custom over to Bobbe's and plugged it into a Nashville 112 with an RV-3. I started smiling about ten seconds later. The Nashville 112 does exactly what its supposed to do. I had Bobbe play my guitar also because I wanted to hear it from a distance. For a (1) 12" speaker amp, it great. I posted in the "Electronics" section to what I thought of the NV 112. The NV 112 is absolutely great. We run everything through our Mackie system so the size and weight is only a bonus. The sound is awesome!! It it by far the best investment that I have made for the dollar in a long time. |

I sent some e-mails to Mike about the N 112 amp but decided to go with the tube Peavey Classic 30 as it seemed more geared towards non pedal for me. I'm very pleased with the Classic 30 amp and am looking forward to see how it performs on a gig. In the rehearsal space it sounds wonderful and seems a well made and thought out amp.

I played thought the 112 this weekend, well two of them, I was really impresed , I am getting a pair as we speak..Great Job Peavey....and as alway a great job by Mike Brown in St Louis, they got a new room this year, really was a nice one...------------------

does the NV 112 use an 8 or 4 ohm speaker, is this a similar amp to one of the Bandit amps, got me wondering if a tone mod could be done to a Bandit to obtain a tone close to the NV 112, I'm guessing the Bandit is voiced more for 6 string and with a solder iron a few caps and resistors????? What type of speaker is used in the NV 112, is it a cast frame like a BW or Scorpian, or a pressed metal frame like a Celestion. Wonder what the DC voltage rails are in the power amp section, is the xformer same as the Bandit?[This message was edited by jim milewski on 09 September 2004 at 07:37 AM.] |

Saw Sarah Jory in Wilson, NC on August 31, 2004. I saw that she was playing a Mullen guitar, and I knew that she has been endorsing the Nashville 112 amp. However, she sounded so good that I went up after the show to see for myself. The amp was miked; however I was sitting in front of her about 75 feet away. I realize that she can make a $10 amp and guitar sound good. But the tone that came from the Mullen and the 112 made me want to go and sell my 1000 and my 400s. |

week or so back me and Danny were siting at the Bobbes store and talk some steel talk.Fiddle player walked in the store looking for the amp.He pluged his fiddle into the 112 and....first of all he was a first class player but even he stud there for a minute stearing at the amp and couldn`t believe his ears.he said "how did they do that?" "how did they get such a great tone out of the 12 inch speaker?" ,so the amp sounds great, very lite and most of all great price sticker on it.I just bought a 614 Webb wich I love but I will be geting another Peavey (I already have Session 500 wich I apsolutely love)and it will be 112.Perfect for the lower Broadway gigs.Db ------------------

The Nashville 112 is nothing like the Bandit 65. When I started playing I used a Bandit 65 and it was fine. I moved to a Nashville 400 and several years later revisited the Bandit. . . super suck. The Bandit also doesn't have the power.
I love the Nash 112, even though I'm not "from the top," but the reverb is awful. When I bought it I had hoped that I could leave my little reverb at home, but thank goodness for the loop. |

Gabriel, could something be wrong with the reverb in your 112? I love the reverb in mine, I think it is the best that Peavey ever put in an amp. I have a Session 500, an LTD 400, an LA400, and several other Peaveys; Bandits, Specials, etc, and the reverb in my Nashville 112 sounds better than any of them. It sounds really close to my Blackface Fender Twin, that I thought had the best reverb ever put in an amp.------------------

Jim, you're right in stating that the Nashville 112 was "voiced" for steel guitar, however a guitar will work just fine with the amp. The difference is that this particular model doesn't have the classic eq circuit and that's probably what you are discovering. Thanks for trying the amp out guy's.
