Can someone tell me what type of an adapter to use on an Alesis HR-16 drum machine? On the back of the unit, it says 9 volt AC. Is this a special type of adapter?......Thanks, Carson..... |

Why yes it is. If your talking about a wall wart, the universal replacements at the local WallyWorld are gonna be DC. Like settable to 3v, 6v, 9v, 12v, etc with an output plug star with the various connector stems sticking out of it. You need to specifically find a 9V AC walwart with the correct plug. Being that it's AC, plug polarity doesn't matter. You might wanna determine the unit's draw in watts (or amps) to make sure the wall wart can supply the power required.[This message was edited by Ray Minich on 20 January 2005 at 05:31 PM.] |

The older Nintendo video games used a 9VAC adapter, I've used these on several Alesis products. Radio Shack used to have these for about $10 or $12.------------------ Darvin Willhoite Riva Ridge Recording
