Yeah but,,, the digital reverbs in the Evans and the Acoustic Image amps sure are nice.

Darvin, I agree. Digital Reverb in a Nasville 112,& 1000 would be nice.
They had digital reverb in one of the Chorus amps a few years ago.

I had (note had) a 2003 Evans SE-200 with the digital reverb. I didn't like it as good as a spring reverb.

But, I'm now using a POD XT for both reverb and delay and they work good.

I agree that digital reverbs sound great but, Unless you have enough control over the peramaters you might not get the sound you want. Some guys like a hall some guys a plate and others just a room reverb. So to please everyone it seems to me it would add cost and maybe a pound or two. The only problem I have with the reverb in mine is that it's noisy. I blend in a little of the spring in with my RV-3 for live work. In the studio no reverb at all. So no problem for me there. I'm not saying that digital reverb won't make this amp better I'm saying that it's great the way it is.

I had the chance to play on the new Evans amp today. They put a new heavier speaker back in it and it has a digital Rev in it. 1500.00 price range. Nice amp but I WOULD NOT TRADE IT FOR MY NV112. To me the 112 has a fuller tone and every bit as smooth as the Evans with the 15 in speaker.JMO. Fred

My Acoustic Image Coda amp has 8 different digital reverb programs. I'm sure there's one in there that would please anyone. To my ears, digital reverb sounds much smoother than any spring reverb I ever heard. Even on Fender's spring reverbs, I can still hear the "spring".

I think some of Peavey's other amps have built in digital effects so they know what they're doing in this realm. I love the Nashville 112 the way it is, but if they do put digital effects in it, I will stand in line to buy another one.

At the Texas show, Peavey had some 112's with optional coverings on them. I think this would go over really well too. I would like a red one to match my red guitar, a blue one to match my blue guitar, a white one to match my white guitar, a sunburst one.......oh well maybe not.

After owning the NV 112 for 3 or 4 months now i have found some things which I think could be improved on to make it the most awsome amp for any aplication I have used lately.
The reverb needs a tone controll and the modular jack underneath the chassis is wide open to RF it needs to be sheilded better.
The top air vent is plastic and allows RF to enter
easily. A better sheilding method for the chasis is needed.
I tried to place my FX Rack on top of the amp and was rewarded with extreme hum from its power transformers.
I have to isolate the rack at least 2 feet away for this to stop.
The size power and tonal ajustability are great and with my Rack gear I can get all I need for Steel or Tele to sound great.
Just a few ajustments and the NV112 will be as perfect as it gets.

I was just wondering what anyone else thought of the Nashville 112 as a lead guitar amp...is it better than the Nashville 400 for lead guitar. I just traded a bandit 65 for a Nashville 400 but I don't care for the weight of it. I guess ya gotta take the bad with the good though...Thanks to all...Jeff

Hi Mike, As you know, I have used Peavey steel amps since the first Session 400s. I have nrver had one fail me at any venue I have played. I have been using a Nashville 112 for over a year now and it does do the job. Thanks to Peavey Corp. for hanging in with us steel players all these years. Jody.

I'm a non-pedal guy and I love my 112. Mike, I was at the Dallas show and I saw the new coverings for the 112. When will they be available? I like something other than black.

Two S.G. shows, two gospel shows and one recording session with my 112 led to my relegating the NV 1000 to the bedroom as my practice amp.

Any chance someone can downsize the pictures so we don't have to catch a bus or train to read the right side of the thread?

I purchased a Nashville 112 about a month ago, and to date, I'm still amazed!! I was playing another brand steel and decided to go back and try my Emmons bolt on. WOW!! That steel and the 112, is incredible. Everyone that hears the amp can't imagine the full sound from a 12" speaker. It even sounds better when recording. The only draw back of owning the Nashville 112 is the hit I will take when selling my other Peavey amps.

It would be useful for me to have some built in effects, similar to the Nashville 2000, but I'm sure this is probably too costly.

My Peavey Nashville 112 arrived this morning from CORSON MUSIC I have NOT used Peavey amplification for at least the last ten years-I have been playing Evans amps almost exclusively since Mike Cass first demonstated to me the superiority in tone over what was available from Peavey-But this amp seems to be a winner! It is nice to have so much sound in a small package that is not a back breaker I noticed that the speaker in the Peavey appears to be the same manufacture as the Evans Eclipse model too-While I have not put this amp through all the paces that others here have it seems that this little sucker is nicely gonna fill the void of compactness lacking in all my "big and heavy" amps

Paul: let`s hear a comparison between the 112 and the FSK with the millenium. I know it`s apples and oranges, but I currently play a Millenium thru a 112, and I`m curious. Thanks

Steve S-I just spent some time playing the M2 through both amps in side by side comparison-My girlfriend Red was alternating plugging in the steel to the FSK and the PV while I played-She was there when I first played both amps at Corson Music and she says she likes the Steel King better because it has more "crispness" I had gotten used to having to deal with AC hum from the previous amps that I used-So I didn't really notice the hum from the FSK as being excessive because you play (usually) above the volume of the hum-but I didn't realize how much the FSK has untill it was next to the 112-The Peavey is MUCH QUIETER in eliminating unwanted hum-and It does sound so much bigger than it's size-So Steve if you are quite happy with the PV 112 I see no need to run out and buy a FSK In fact what you should probably do is buy a second PV 112-I did try running both amps together-A very big sound-but I was not quite able to get a even balance between the two-perhaps a better balance could be attained with some tweaking of controls but I didn't find it yet

I have used a 112 for some time now, it has always had a great sound. Then I plugged in a Black Box and a Hilton pedal.
I can't see how you can do better than this.
I can see one more 112 coming to my music room.
I will also mention that I have sent two Session 400 chassis to Peavey for repairs and they went above and beyond in both cases.
Their technicians are friendly and easy to communicate with. Their main man Mike Brown is the right man, in the right place ,at the right time..And thats all I got to say about that.

Hey, Jerry,
Tell me more about those custom covered Peavey's. Are you doing that or are they coming from the factory like that? About the only thing I didn't like about the NV 112 was the way it looked. It seems you have that objection covered. (pun intended)

Thanks for the photo John. I don't even have this! But, the custom amps will be on our website soon. To order, simply call your authorized Peavey dealer and specify the color, ie; burgundy, tan ostrich or brown ostrich. Or, of course, the standard black material. No specific item numbers, just the description and color of hardware, ie; black, bronze or chrome.

Thanks for the help John.
