I've got a Twin Reverb cabinet. I bought the tilt back legs kit, however there is no diagram. Does anyone happen to have the measurements????

Thanks,
Danny

The tilt back legs came in three sizes. 14"
16" and "18..I believe the 16" are the one's you would need for your Twin. The other 18" is for the Super Reverb and the "14 for the smaller sized cabinets such as the tremolux and bandmaster. The 18" will work for you as well as the 16".
Thanks

Thanks Jody..I've got the 16". I can figure out how to put them on, but was hoping to get an exact Fender spec. or something close. Great to hear from you.

Just in case your curious, the chassis is actually a 1970 Dual Showman reverb head I had Ken Fox rework a couple of years ago. I got the cabinet, which appears to be a late 60's Twin cabinet with a 15" baffle, from a fella in OK last year. I've got a BW 1501-4 in it. It really sounds nice, and I'm taking it out on the road later this week, with Janie Fricke.

Ya know, I'll never forget the note you sent me regarding my Dad, whom you used to call on when he was a dealer in upstate NY.

I'm playing the Opry next Fri (7/1), for the first time, and gonna use his old Emoons P/P, that I had restored. Wish he was still here, to see it..... Wish I could haul the DSF/TR hybrid up there

Danny, here's the measurements from my Twin Reverb (B/F)...

Leg hole....2 1/4" from the back of the amp, and 14 5/8" from the bottom of the amp cabinet (not the floor!)

"Stop" hole...4 3/4" from back of the amp, and 16" from the bottom of the amp cabinet (once again, not from the floor!)

I decided a few yrs ago to add some class to Fender.I purchased a set of 16" fender legs an put them on my Nash 112 and they work great. CC

Jody, my Fender catalog has the tilt-back legs in 3 lengths: 14", 16" and 19".

Donny, if the legs are 16" long and the stop hole is 16" from the bottom of the amp, then the legs will miss the stop when tilted (I think).

I put 16" legs on my Session 400 and Vegas 400. Screwed the legs on approx. 4" from the back of the cabinet and just clearing the bottom of the amp. Then I tilted the amp back to the angle that I prefer and screwed in the stop screw accordingly. I put both amps side by side to assure that they both have the same angle. Works great.

Nope. The bottom of the legs (with the dimensions I gave), are well above the bottom of the amp when they are in their "stowed" position. (I don't have a ruler handy, but the bottom of the legs appears to be about 1 3/4" from the bottom of the amp when they're stowed.)

Note: I made all my earlier dimensional measurements from the bottom of the cabinet for a reason. Not all Twin Reverbs have the same size cabinet! But, if you dimension from the cabinet bottom, the figures will work for any size amp that uses the 16" legs.

On my Twin Reverb the legs are mounted so that when they hang they do not go below the cabinet bottom, just close, and when they swing they miss the metal corner protectors -- just barely.
The legas are mounted a tad over 4 inches from the back of the cab. The "tad" must be margin of error, because it is less than a full 1/16th. I do not remember where the stops were orriginally. I replaced them when I retolexed. I did not want the amp to lean so far back.
