I recently took one in trade. After lugging my Twin Reverb everywhere for the past 35 years, it would be nice to haul this little one around. I know the sound will not be the same. Has anyone tried the Express 112 with the steel? What do you think? Thanks in advance. New member Jay Yuskaitis

Hi Jay,

I've had an Express 112 for about 9 months and I think it's just fine. It's no Nashville 112, but it does a pretty good job with only 65 watts. The stock speaker was blown when I got it, so I bought a Blue Marvel for it. (came from a NV112) I was pleasantly surprised at how good it sounded.

I doubt if it will keep up in a live band situation...unless you would use it as a steel monitor and go thru the PA system. In a small, fairly low volume group, it might do very well.

I like it for a practice amp. One of these days I'll give in and buy a NV112, but till then the Express 112 works pretty good.

All times are Pacific (US)
