I picked up a new (2003) Rivera M100 about six months ago for guitar. It really is a monster guitar amp and a tweakers delight.
The clean side of this amp is the best clean twang I've ever heard. It is right up alongside my VHT 2/90/2. I recently tried this for steel... wow! It's like a twin on steroids. Mine is the 2x12 configuration but I'm hoping to add a 15 inch cabinet at some point.

Steve, I saw Doyle Dykes, of Taylor Guitars, doing a seminar and he was using the Rivera amp. Great sounding amp.

Doyle is outrageously good. He sat in a GC once while I was there picking an old L5 and had the whole place- salesmen, would-be rappers, drummers, everybody- standing around watching. Never seen anything like him.

Steve, did you get it new from Rivera? Not too many dealers out there. Riveras are great. I've been using an R100 for years for both steel and standard guitar. I had an S120 rig with two 2x12" cabs for awhile, but I foolish sold it as I thought it was too much gear to schlepp around. I miss my S120!
Guess who used to play through an M100 rig? Jerry Garcia! HAHAHAHA!

Let me know if you ever want to sell your M100.

Cheers!
Cliff

The Rivera amps are great and the construction quality is second to none. Having had several Riveras including the M60 112, M100 112 and the M100 Chris Duarte with the EVM-15L, I consider them to be among the best.

Paul Rivera is accessible by e-mail or phone and I learned that the output tubes can be replaced with 6550s for a 50% boost in power. Paul offers documentation how to rebias for the different tubes.

My M100 with the EV was my favorite except for the weight. It weighs about 100 lb. and I hurt my back loading it in/out of my car.

I miss the Rivera amps but my back is doing better.

Cliff,
I bought it off ebay. I contacted Rivera and found out that it had been special ordered in 2003. The M100 is only available as a special order.
