Did Fender ever re-issue this amp in the 80's with tubes?

Derrick, my understanding is that the Harvard Reverb II (1982 - 85) was solid state. Some other small Fender amps from this era--Champ II, Super Champ, Princeton Reverb II, and Deluxe Reverb II--used tubes.

Hi Bill,

I've seen and heard someone here who has what he said was a early 80's Harvard Reverb 2. I've had a close up look after his gig and seen the tubes and the black name plate in the front identifying the model of amp, but when I got home and checked my "Fender Amp Book - the first 50 years" by John Teagle, it stated too, that those were solid state amps.

A friend of mine says that the information in this book is not complete. Any truth to this?

Is there a possiblility that a limited production of these were made by Fender?

Derrick, unfortunately I don't know any more about this one and so I'll defer to more knowledgeable Forumites. I suspect, though, that Fender's "Rivera era" brought about quite a lot of experimentation that could have led to some one-off amps, maybe like the one you've seen. A limited production run? I don't know... Bill
