I saw Gahlon Mathews playing with Gretchan W. on Direct TV last night. He had some sort of a stand that held his effects boxes near his steel. Does anyone know if there is one available or does everyone just fabricate their own setup?

A heavy duty music stand works well.

Tommy Dodd makes a leg mounting bracket for the PODs, and I think for some other units too: http://www.tommydodd.com/tds_pics/Bracket4neta.jpg
Like Darvin said, a music stand will work, or there are any number of ways you could rig up something from a mike stand or a Salvation Army-issue camera tripod or something.

I have used a flat surfaced keyboard seat (ala Guitar Center) for an effects stand.
Works perfectly for keeping effects neatly hooked up and at the right height on gigs, and you can use it as a seat for your other steel(s) at home.

Ken,
www.qwikstix.com

Email Pat or Dave there and tell them you want an effects tray like the one I have. They have several steel guitar related products even though they are primarily a drum accessory company. The one I have they custom made to hold 2 pedals although their drum machine tray may work for you without modification. Let me know how it works out for you.
I found this link on their page: http://www.qwikstix.com/UtilitySideSpecsSteel.htm

Gaylon, thanks for the information. Sorry I mispelled your name earliar. I was in a hurry for an appointment but I wanted to get the message done so I could get some feedback. It looked like it worked real well. The concert was great but I will comment on that on another thread.
