Musicman has a pretty distinctive grill cloth. Does anyone know of a replacement source? Thanks, Lefty[This message was edited by Lefty on 25 October 2006 at 03:16 AM.] |

I just had a 112RD-50 in here anbd it sure looked like Fender cloth to me. Try Mojotone.com and tubesandmore.com.I can remeber, but it seems like it was the Blackface era cloth on the one I had here. |

I just looked at mine and it sure reminds me of the old fender grill cloth, not the later fender style with the blue strands in it.Unfortunately it's been so long since I have seen any old style Fender cloth I really can't say for sure....Paging Dr. Carver....Paging Dr. Carver |

I'm sitting here looking at my all-original Musicman 210-HD One thirty, and that is definitely blackface Fender style grille cloth - I also have a couple of blackface Fenders sitting right next to it. The only difference is that the Musicman grill cloth is super shiny clean, while the Fenders are heavily browned with age. Both Ampwares and Mojotone have it, and I'm sure there are plenty of other sources. I'd use the non-aged variety on a Musicman, unless the amp was real beat up.I wouldn't swear that all Musicman amps use this cloth, but my recollection is that they did. Either way, I think the blackface Fender style cloth looks real good on them, probably because Musicman amps also use a black front panel and black tolex. |

Mojotone has the "aged" Blackface cloth as well. |

just re-did my 210 RD, mojotone, fender cloth was identical. Careful, be sure your speakers arent painted stuck onto the baffle like mine were...ripped a cone. It was definetly time to replace the speakers anyway and it sounds a billion times better now. |
