I love my i-12 , but to me if you have a guitar with a GeorgeL type pickup they sound a little sweeter. My LDG and Emmons don't sing like my Remington or GFI when I use my 1-12. |

I own five Peavey amps. I don't have a Nashville 112 as I much prefer the sound of my NV400. I will say that Peavey amps are incredibly reliable and very good value for money. I wouldn't say that Peavey is the best - that is subjective. I will say that the B/W is the most robust 15" in the market place IMO. The FSK is also a good amp, but is improved by the exchange of speaker with a B/W, which unlike the stock speaker doesn't break up at higher volume. I am looking forward to Peavey's next generation of steel amp, and hope that they take on board some of the points made by forumites in response to Mike's survey a while back. |

Since the original post compared the Nashville 112 to the LTD 400, Here's my 2 cents: First, I don't have a Nashville 112. I'd like to get one sometime and probably will. But I own 4 Peavey amps, Session 400, LTD 400, Nashville 400 and a Bandit 75. I just got my NV 400 back from Peavey with the tone mod installed. Great service, by the way. It's a different amp now, more bass, smoother sounding, and I really like it. All the amps sound good, the NV 400, with the mod, is excellent. The Session 400 has a super tone, as does the LTD 400. The LTD seems to have a bit more treble in it's basic sound. But I can adjust all three amps and get about the same tone. Here are the settings I'm using on my LTD: pressence at 4-5, treble at 4-6, mid at 3-4, shift at 6, bass at 8. This amp is a '79, and has the spider web BW speaker. Considering everything, if I were to keep only one amp, it would be the LTD. Mostly because it is a little lighter than the others. They all sound good. ------------------ Bill Moore... my steel guitar web page
