Does anyone still use an AT-12?
Mine needs to be calibrated but I no longer have the owners manual.

I've located the adjusted point on the right side of the tuner but can't figure out what tool is to be used...that is a flat tip or phillips type screwdriver....the hole is so small that it is difficult to get a clear view of what's in there.

Also would the process be simply turning the adjustment point so that the needle is centered on 0 (440) while the tuner is on and in calibration mode?

Mike, I would use another tuner that you know is right and tune a string, probably the 4th string E dead center on 440. Then hook your tuner to the guitar, select calibrate on you AT-12 and turn the calibrate knob to dead center 440. That should do it. I would hesitate about removing the little plug and turning the screw in the end of the tuner. That shouldn't be necessary.

I've had one over twenty years, never had to adjust it like that. If I want to adjust it to another tuner or sound source, I set the slider to calibrate, and use the up or down button to set it where I want it. To set it back to default press up and down together. I think if you have to adjust it on the side, use a flat tipped plastic tuning wand. It's a variable resister, a metal screwdriver might affect the accuracy. If that doesn't help let me know and I'll look through this mess for the manual.

I still have one. The only calibration I ever did was to set it to calibrate and push both the up and down buttons at the same time. The manual says to do this procedure. Hope this helps.

Jerry,Howard, and Morton....thanks for your responses. The problem is fixed.....I did as the three of you suggested.

It is now working properly....I've had mine so long I've lost the owners manual...thats why I was unsure what to do.

This Forum is great...thanks again guys!!!
