Frenchie celebrated his birthday yesterday at a suprise party in Devine, Texas. What a party. There were a couple of hundred people there and plenty of great musicians. Some that played were:

Steel Guitar:
Bobby Bowman
Robin Mimms
Kenny Grohman
Me

Guitar:
Randy Corner
Bobby Witten
Richard Wolfe
Robert Lawhorn

Singers:
Doug Boggs
Mundo Earwood
Jerry Naill
Larry Butler
Kenny Dale
Johnny Lyon
Several others

Fiddle:
Frenchie
Tony Pickens

Several drummers and bass guitar players including Lee Roy Eichler and Shorty Grisham (Doyles' brother) and Mitch Connell on piano. I'm sure I missed some because I left before it was over.

Frenchie did a short show and it was as powerful as ever. He still puts everthing he has into it.

For any you that would like to respond and wish him a happy birthday I will make sure that he does see this thread.
