Libby Knight from Daysville Ky died Wednesday morning around 10am central time at St. Thomas Hospital in Nashville. Libby had a massive heart attack last week and had been put on life support. Doctors at St. Thomas had performed an emergency quadrouple bypass operation to attempt to save his life.
Some of you Nashville guys along with myself have played at Libby's from time to time. The "Live at Libby's" Radio Show which aired on (WBVR-FM 101.1) was very popular back in the '90's. That was back when Libby's was an showcasing entertainment mega. Many big names performed there like Garth Brooks, Clinton Gregory, Eddie London, Holly Dunn, & Pam Tillis. Some of the Steel guys who worked the radio show were Jimmie Crawford, Bobbe Seymour, Perley Curtis, Pat Severs, Buddy Elkin and others. Libby's is located right off hwy 68/80 between Russellville & Elkton just about 6 miles from my radio station. Libby loved the Steel Guitar and was a big fan, he was also a dear friend to all of us out here at WEKT. Memorial Funeral Home in Russellville, KY is in charge of arrangements.

Nick- I hate hear this news. When I was living in Nashville, I remember all the good times and shows at Libby's. Met many nice people and heard lots of good "Country Music". Ed Naylor Steel Guitar Works.

Sorry to hear this news. Libby ran a good, clean Country Music entertainment center. Another great steeler that worked there, was Stu Basore, whom I subbed for on several occasions.
