Gentlemen, I read a post in another section of the Forum addressing CMO as a cure for arthritis. If it wouldn't be breeching your privacy, would you guys post as to the effectiveness of the product and also if there are any side effects. Buddy, while there are few who could match your talent on pedal steel, I am absolutely certain that my joints can ache as much as yours.
Thank you gentlemen.

I too would love to hear more about CMO. I am having some real issues with arthritis. Eight weeks ago, I had the joint in my right big toe fused because the joint had deteriorated due to arthritis. Arthritis is affecting both of my hands as well as both feet. I am very interested in this topic. Thanks!

Me too, I'm not at the end of the road yet, but I think I can see it from here.

I don't know whether Skip Mertz is answering these requests personally or not, so for better or worse, I'll give you my story.

CMO is a capsule that Skip told me about for osteoarthritis. I had two swollen knots on my right wrist that when spread my thumb or opened my hand, would bump against each other and cause excruciating pain. I had to hold a toothbrush with my fist, couldn’t use a pair of scissors, and could barely spread my hand wide enough to play an octave on the steel. I tried every remedy in the books and nothing worked until I got on the CMO program.

The CMO program consists of taking it between meals and along with a six week diet prohibiting tomatoes, legumes, caffeine, and other things we all love so dear.

It can work in a matter of weeks for some or as in my case, I went through the program a second time before I found relief. A couple of months after the second treatment, the knots on my wrist started diminishing in size and I could hold a toothbrush properly and use a pair of scissors without as much pain. Eventually the pain all but disappeared. I still feel a slight tenderness in the wrist area once in a while, but for the most part, it’s over.

During that time, I was also taking Glucosamine and oil pills to help repair and lubricate the joints. I’ve stopped the Glucosamine but continue to take flax oil capsules for the omega 3 fatty acids, which are good for the heart.

My biggest problem now is dealing with the strength and coordination I lost in my hand from not playing or using it much for two years. I could throw the 66 year old man excuse in there too, but I don’t know how much of a factor it would be and I’ve had enough of a pity party over this already. You either cut it or you don’t.

You won’t hear about CMO from the medical profession because it’s not a drug. In the case of arthritis, it’s much better for drug companies to treat it than to cure it, and acknowledging CMO would cost them millions of dollars a month in “treatments.” All I ever got from Celebrex was side affects and a lighter wallet.

Does it work for everyone? I don’t know. It worked for me and the funny thing about it is that my family physician doesn’t know it yet. The day he told me I had osteoarthritis, I asked him what could be done about it and he said I had two choices: either have an operation or live with it. And now you know the rest of the story…

That's a wonderful story!

I'm from the UK, and have lived here for seven years. I grew up in a country where health care is freely available to all. True, the system creaks under the strain at times, and you might have to wait for treatment if your condition is not life-threatening, but the quality of care is no different to that in the USA.

I'm happy here, but I'm outraged by the corruption in the medical fraternity. My GP (as he hands me more free samples of something that'll lower my blood pressure), sympathetic as he is to my non-insured status, talks about the 'drug pushers' that frequent his office on a daily basis inducing him to 'hook' his patients on their products so that the TV advertising can be paid for!

In addition to my current woes, I think I'm feeling the onset of arthritic pain - thanks, Skip, for raising the awareness of this programme on this Forum.

Buddy, I'm delighted for your good results.

well put Buddy, I am a pharmacist and I have seen great wonders with some "natural medicines".

Even though prescription drugs pay my salary I think way too many people jump on them too soon without considering some other natural alternatives and diet/lifestyle changes.

I am glad to hear you are doing better. I never would have known you had problems considering the way you played in St Louis

Take care and God bless

CMO certainly sounds like it's worth a shot. The web searches I've done corroborate Buddy's success story, and I'm willing to try it.

It seems to be quite expensive though, so where can it be purchased the cheapest?

Thank you for your reply Buddy. I have read some good testimonials on the web, but having them corroborated by someone I feel I can trust means a lot. I am going to give it a try, and pray that my results will be as good as yours. I do hope you continue to do well also. Don't think about the 66 year old man. My father is 86, and still flies a light twin. Also, thank you Skip for making us aware of the program.

John,
I used BAF Formula 2 and got mine from Skip. The label reads CMO & Sea Cucumber. I believe it requires a digestive pill of some sort to do the best job. Skip had all the details but I don't know if he is acts as a representitive today.

It seems like the the "sea cucumber" could be an integral part. I (who also have arthritis) had already noticed that various herbal products containing it seemed to give me some relief. I just haven't been able to find a product with a high percentage of s.c. that doesn't have too much of something else which is counter-productive. Maybe a good lead here. Thanks Buddy, and everyone, for sharing.

Skip, if you’re out there, I responded twice to your request to e-mail you. I just wanted to let you know, as I haven’t received a reply. In case I had the wrong address, you can send yours to Ernie Renn and I’ll get back to you. Thanks.

Glucosamine works even better with Chondrotin, in combination.

There is a Pain Relief combination of that at GNC stores.
Also fish oil is good for adding a basic building block to aid this process.

I talked to some people who use Glucosamine with Chondroitin....whatever, and they told me to get the Spring Valley brand at Wal-Mart because the recipe is consistant. I had been taking another brand and it did nothing. Since I am on Lipitor my joints ache a lot. I couldn't even pick up my guitar case before I started using Gluco....whatever. This Spring Valley stuff has done a great job of keeping the aches away. That's just my two cents worth.

I am a wellness consultant for a company that markets these products, both internally and externally. Email me for more info, put CMO in the subject bar so I pick it out of my junk mail lists.

I MUST HAVE MISSED IT SOME WHERE ALONG THE WAY.WOULD SOME ONE TELL ME WHERE THIS PRODUCT MIGHT BE PURCHASED.OLE' AUTHOR IS TAKING HIS TOLL ON ME ALSO. WE ALL KNOW THE DRUG COMPANIES DON'T WANT YOU HEALED, MONEY IS WHY THEY DO NOT WANT THE IMPORTS COMING IN TO OUR NATION FROM CANADA. ANY ADVICE WOULD SURE BE APPRECIATED.

I asked my wife about this topic, and she concurs with David on chondroitin with glucosamine. I understand Norwegian fish oils work better than others; it has something to do with the temperature of the North Sea. Sea cucumber? This must relate as well. These things lubricate the joints.

Just did a search for the CMO that Buddy mentioned. My wife is a painter, and had a hand injury last year that has brought on a bit of arthrits, so this seems like just the thing. But - here's what I found out: The company that made (that's right - made) the CMO sold out to another business and they quit making it. I called them, and was told that because it was such a strict program, not many people were buying, so they ceased production. However, I found another brand on-line, and after doing some more research, decided to buy this brand. My wife - the guinea pig - will test it and I'll report back in a few weeks. if there was a $5 cure for cancer out there, the drug companies would never bring it out because they like getting the $5000 a month for their chemotherapy treatments. it doesn't help that the fda is just an internship program for drug company executives. traditional medicines were developed to cure not to profit.
