Man what a song and video!! the name of it is " I Still got a lot of leaving to do " Its loaded with Gary Morse ( I think I spelled his last name right ?)playing his SHO BUD and its got some hot telecaster stuff in it too and for those who care it also has a really hot girl behind the bar, haha.Plus its actually hilarious ,especially at the end when he's cuddled up to his dog,but he's dreaming he's cuddling the hot chick in the video.Hats off to Dierks and Brad Paisley for still making great videos and making good country music and not being afraid to make fun of themselves in there video's,I like that,no ego's,unlike Kenny and Tim !!! haha

Wade, I saw it last night for the first time. Not only was the video great to watch, but like you said, the song is a really good hard driving country tune. I have heard that Dierks is a big steel guitar fan, and Gary does lots of playing in most of his songs. And Gary always has an old vintage Sho-Bud somewhere in his videos. How can we not like that!

Country ain't dead just yet.

Gary is always at his best any time I see him. Whether on videos, or live performances, and when he's not burnin it up on pedal steel, he's doing equal justice on resonator guitar. He's a pretty hot guitar and banjo player too!

I believe the dog in the video is Dierks dog, Jake. Jake even travels on the tour bus now and then to some of the shows he does. :-) If you go and see Dierks and Gary at one of the concerts, ask him to give you one of his fancy guitar picks. :-)

I love the new video by Dierks and I love the closeups of Gary's Sho-Bud. Dierks is definitely a fan of the steel guitar, because when he performed at the video awards show, he was wearing a Sho-Bud t-shirt. "I Still Got A Lotta Leavin' Left To Do" is a great song, and I love to hear Gary playing on it. Brett, Emmons S-10, Morrell lapsteel, GFI Ultra D-10

I played a show with Gary (Dierks Bentley) back in Dec. Gary was a great guy. I got to check out his rig up-close the Sho-bud was very cool. I liked the amps N400s covered in fender, knobs and all. Looked strange! Gary also got to play alot, cuz the band is only 4 piece. I loved it..Billy www.freewebs.com/billypeddycoart/

Dangit Wade....you've finally done it.

You've turned into a steel player.

I know for a fact that you own one of the best sounding steel guitars on this planet. I know this because I used to own it, and it has better tone than my Zum with a True Tone, adn it has better tone than my old Lloyd Green! Now you are wanting to find a better sounding guitar too!

Welcome to hell pal, now you're a steel player that will look for that "right" tone for the rest of your life. I'm right there with you! HA!

How the heck do you get a dobro sound on a steel? On this live video I can't really see what the steelers playin, but sure sounds like a square neck dobro

Dierks Playing(drinkin)live, the Song what was I thinkin

and of course he has the hottest bass player in country (PERIOD)

Bill, on some of Dierks shows, Gary was using a Goodrich MatchBro on his steel, and if your weren't looking, you'd swear he was playing a Resonator guitar. Lately Gary has been using a resonator type guitar that was built by Duane Marrs that has the famous "Cat-Can" in it, and it really sounds great. Unlike the Dobro, you can play this thing at loud volumes without getting any feedback from it. It's pretty cool!

Bill; you can see Gary place a (looks like a Cat-Can) on his steel at the very start of the video.

You guys might rethink that statement about him having "A hot bass player " because the one in the video is a dude.hahaha!!! Iam kidding,I know he use to have a hot female bass player,I seen her last summer !!!I guess she left the band.

I was starting to get a little worried about the hot bass player comments!!! (just kidding). Michelle is no longer with the band but we were lucky to get Robbie Harrington as her replacement. He's the bass player in pretty much all of the Keith Urban videos and has been with us for a few months now. He cranks it up through an Ampeg V4 rig and it rocks the stage. I love it!!!
By the way, Ricky was right about me using a Marrs "cat can" guitar through a Goodrich Matchbro. Lately I've been using the new Fleuger/Marrs model which looks and feels like an acoustic full-sized dobro. The days of feedback on a dobro are gone!
Check one out. You can also use it without the electronic dobro circuit turned on to play some really hot lap steel sounding stuff.
Glad you guys all like the video. We had a great time shooting it in in Austin!

For you guys that are drooling over the female bass player that used to work with Dierks Bentley, her name is Michelle Poe-be looking for her, last I heard she had a contract with Dreamworks-her father is the talented Billy Poe who used to play steel and guitar with the Mandrell's and others back in the 60's-he is a great guy and very proud of her.

Yep, it was a fun time. There were also lots of hot chicks there for some reason! I guess they heard that Wade and I were gonna be there.

Gary is one bad mutha! Between Gary on steel, and the tele player they have in the band, there was lots of great picking going on!

Gary, you boys hurry back to north Texas real soon.

Gary, I don't think you boys have to worry about attracting the hot females. It would be a dream come true touring with ole Dierks. The babes seem to really dig him. Ahhh to be that young again! At this point in my life, I just want to come home, eat supper, watch a little TV, watch the news and weather and go to bed. Get up at 5 am and head to the fire station......BORING!
Continue to enjoy yourself brother. Hopefully old Dierks will remain on top for a while longer. Sounds like ya'll are having fun out there.

As for Wade, I'll just have to show up at his gigs with that stick and continue to beat the hot babes away from him. Wade is known as the Dierks Bentley of the Stockyard Saloon!

hey there. i am not a member here nor do i play steel, i am just borrowing my dad's username to post my one lonely comment. my dad and i discuss steel music alot and i was really psyched to see the dierks bently performance on the CMT awards show. i just have to say the steel player got robbed! all i could hear were the lead guitars, and i could barely hear the awesome steel licks being played behind him. and i so looked forward to hearing them live! tsk tsk tsk. i was so disappointed! i know since i don't play steel, my comment doesnt matter much in here, just wondered if anyone else felt the same way! thanks for the time!
