Howdy Mr Mooney. I've always loved your playing. When I heard you play, that's one of the reasons I wanted to be a steel player. Hope you have a Merry Christmas. ------------------ Strats thru a VHT Super 30 Band Pics |

Happy Holidays to you Ralph Mooney. I met you recently at Sunset,Texas while you played a dedication service. You were kind and very humble which are high qualities for a legend such as yourself. I hope you and your family have a Merry Christmas and the best New Year you have ever had. |

Merry Christmas (Can we still say that?)Mr Mooney...You were the first steel player that I ever saw live and you made me a fan of this instrument and yourself...it was in the early 70's in San Jose CA. You guys were opening for Charlie Rich...he didn't show and when you guys came out Waylon said that Charlie was too drunk to perform so we got to hear a whole lotta great steel...Thanx |

Merry Christmas to you Mr. Mooney. I have been one of your fans for many years. The first time I saw you play live was at a concert in Kezar Stadium in San Francisco in the 70's. Waylon & The Waylors were sandwiched between New Riders of the Purple Sage and the Grateful Dead. May seem like an unlikely combination to some, but it turned out great! I remember all the hippies loved your playing and you broke out a big grin after they applauded you on an especially "Moon"-like ride! ------------------ [This message was edited by Mark Eaton on 06 December 2005 at 01:53 PM.] |

Merry Christmas Mr. Moon: On Sunday in Dallas in the restaurant, you stopped by our table and said hello to us two strangers. Thanks so much for doing that. I was so taken back that I neglected to tell you how much we enjoyed your playing. The early Buck and your years with Wynn Stewart are wonderful. Thanks so much. Hope to hear you in person again. Last bump before printing this out and presenting it to one of the most influential steel geniuses of all time. He's given us SO much, and as for me, I don't know if I would have ever taken up steel if not for "Mister Moon". [This message was edited by Mike Headrick on 09 December 2005 at 08:48 AM.] |
