Is there such a thing? I tune my Fender 6 string steel to a G Dobro tuning. I have a capo for my square neck Dobro but I want to start using the steel at gigs for the loud tunes. We have drummer.Any ideas? Thanks, Dave Z |

Thanks Drew. That says it's a Dobro capo. Will it work on a lap steel too? Looks like it could.DZ |

Yes it will, no problem. The Beard capo also works well for lap steel.Steinar ------------------ www.gregertsen.com

Dave,Check out this thread: http://steelguitarforum.com/Forum2/HTML/003405.html Also, I have an Elmer Bradley dobro capo (812-432-3205) that works well on my laps. Doesn't scratch the fret board, like a Flux sometimes does. ------------------

Dave, I saw a Cajun steel player from Louisiana use steel bar placed under the strings as a capo. The bar was just a tad thicker than the distance from the strings to the fret board. So I went to Home Depot and got a bolt and used that as a capo on the third fret to get my E9 tuning up to G. Worked just fine. BW |
