Amber Digby, Dickie's step-daughter has just released her first CD. Talk about down-to-earth honest to goodness country - this is it! Probably one of the finest pure honky-tonk CD's in a long, long time. Texas "A" team players Bobby Flores, and Dickie Overby teamed up and plays some of the finest country shuffles you'll hear this decade. My guess is, after the session was over they probably had to mop up the tears off the floor from "Rosie". Best tone and playing from Dickie I've heard in a long-long time. Dickie you've out done yourself on this one! Ambers singing will have you punching that repeat button over and over. Definitely a 5 star CD.

John, you are right! This record was already mentioned in a previous thread, I am just mentioning this because Dickie Overbey provided some information how to get a hold of this CD:

I bought it in St. Louis because I'm a big Bobby Flores fan, but Amber really sings. It's great! It's still in the 6 CD rotation in my car.

I have to agree to all the above!
Amber and this team of musicians are just great together and she has picked great songs...I can hear influences from many great and legendary lady artists and some male artist also, then Amber places her own special touch to each song...
She will go far...And I will enjoy listening and cheer her on along the way....Like they say out here on the R&B Tour....Blee Diss

I heard Amber sing a few in St Louis, and she was very good.
Later Ben Carneval and I had lunch with ther under the escalators and had a nice visit.

She really is into the classic country and does a great job on it live and on this CD.

I guess they are born with a sense of history in those parts.
And Dicky did do great on it.

I saw Amber a couple of weeks ago in Branson. I got a copy of her CD from her. I was really impressed. I've know Amber ever since she was born. Dennis Digby, her father was my roomate on the road with Loretta Lynn for 9 years. With the background she has in in Country Music, it's no wonder she is so great at what she's doing. It's refreshing to hear a young person liking that kind of music. I guess it doesn't hurt to have Dennis for a father, DG for a mother, Darrel McCall for an uncle, and Dickey for a step-father. The raw, basic talent was already there, and she was soaking up everything around her while growing up. Amber, I am really impressed!

This CD is an absolute must for every serious country music fan. The vocals are perfect and the tracks are so special. Amber's CD is my heavy rotation at the Cox house.

I can't get enough of Bobby Flores and Dickey Overby. Where can I order this CD?
I wish Nashville would put Bobby Flores and Dickey Overby on every radio station in the world. Bobby Flores and Dickey Overby need to be given credit for how great they really are.
