I was invited to stop by the Outpost in Ramsey. Mn. and see a band called "The Law", that had Chad Udeen Playing Steel Guitar with a band he sometimes played with.

Chad Udeen has played 120 road gigs with Gary Allen, and was back in Mn. for a Xmas vacation with his folks and friends.
Anyway i had not seen Chad for some time and was really amazed at his ability to put so much energy into his playing, not alone his skills, the tone and smoothness when playing anything. He was and is a real eye opener for anyone who loves steel guitar.Of course the band sounded wonderful and everyone sounded unusually tight on this day.
Needless to say, Chad was everything his dad, Al Udeen talked him up to be. Most dads would do this whether it was true or not, but in Chads case everything ,anyone ever said about him was a under statement! He seemed to have 100% control of his steel, at all times, and was always happy with what he was playing. And it did not seem to make any difference to him in what song was being played. He loved everything! And everything sounded great! And i never saw a happier prouder set of parents, or group of friends on this nite.

Keep your eye open for this young Steel Player, as he is a joy to watch and look for no matter where you live. He is currently playing with the Gary Allen show, so do not miss them when they come your way!

Once in a "BLUE MOON" a father has a son who is "Born" to carry on in his foot steps of playing our wonderful instrument called the "Pedal Steel Guitar"! Al Udeen an "Icon" of the steel himself was fortunate enough to have this happen to him! Al has been inlove-with, played and promoted the pedal steel since its very begining! He was a Sho-Bud Distributor and Rep. for many years. Chad is such a GREAT musician, it is almost like he was "born with the picks on one hand & the bar in the other!!!!" Thanks to you both for doing "what you do" for the PSG! Glad he could get home & be with the proud mom & pop this Christmas!
