For some reason I want to say that this song was originally done by a female singer,,,maybe Wilma Burgess (sp?) around the mid to late '60's. I'll do some searching too. It's a great song.

Ray Price and Buddy Emmons did it on the "Touch My Heart" album circa 1966/1967.

This is from memory...probably close enough for a "fake job"!

If I don't...act myself
When...I'm around you,
And I bring up the things
You used to say.
Well I just...haven't learned
to forget...like you do,
It's only love...it'll go away.

And if I...call you at night
While...you are sleeping,
Just to talk to you about yesterday.
Then before...I hang up,
I...start to weeping,
Well it's only love,
It'll go away.

It's only love, it'll go away.
At least...that's what...you say.

Well your's dear, and mine will,
I hope...that someday,
It's only love, it'll go away.
Yes it's only love...it'll go away.
