For many reasons, I am just now getting around to modifying my D-12 push pull to get it from 9&4 to 9&9. Could someone please email or point me to some pictures of a loaded double neck undercarriage?I'm particularly interested in the locations of the E9 LKV and staggered LKL, and the middle C6 LKL, LKV, and LKR. I've got just what you need from my 9x9 D-10 that Mike Cass rebuilt. They're at home. If you don't hear from me, EMail me and I'll get you whatever you need. I had some really good closeups of the changer, levers, and full undercarriage views.------------------

Hey Jim! Just for grins, why don't you try to keep track of the number of hours (days, weeks...) it takes you to add the levers. Maybe you could give us a report every now and then. I remember when I converted my old Emmons S-12 from an Extended E9 (3p, 5kl) to a full E9/B6 Universal(7p, 5kl). While it wasn't all that difficult, it was a very long, drawn-out process. I just worked on the project in the evenings, as time would permit. It was very tedious, but I sure did learn a lot about the mechanics of a push/pull in the process. ------------------

Thanks Larry, you've got mail! Lee, I'm at sort of an advantage as I've set up many push pulls in the past, plus did all of the complicated setups at Dekley and for a while at MCI/EMCI. Granted this will take much longer than my Fessenden or Dekley, but other than not having easy access to a machine shop, I'd guess about 15-20 hours altogether. Since I've been laid off from my day job for over a month now, the time doesn't really matter. I'm just taking my time while catching up on Columbo, Banacek, and the X-Files.  | |
