Well I don't think it should have been closed, just moved to steelplayers.
Or Music. It was about the steelplayer and his relationship with the band etc.
Though it did ramble a bit.

If the title had been "Robby Turner" instead of "DIXIE CHICKS", perhaps I would have responded differently.

The Chicks are a political lightning rod right now. Topics about them cannot stay focused on their music or their steel player.

No slight of Dr. Jeffreys was intended. I'm sure that the motivation for his post was pure. The closure was in the best interest of the Forum. It's what I must do as moderator sometimes. You have my apology too, Hugh. I'm sorry that I had to shut it down.
