Can someone tell me what the beautiful haunting effect is on the steel for Shania Twain's "Forever and Always"? Thanks...was that the great Paul Franklin? Great feel!!

Bill I used a Digitech 33B harmony machine along with a TC 2290 delay unit for that sound......I am really happy with the tone options they provide and they seemed to work well on this song....Paul

Here is a quote from Mike Shipley, who recorded and mixed the "Up" CD (taken off the www.gearslutz.com forum)...

"Paul is indeed one of the best muso's on the planet and I've mixed a lot of records he's played on. For "UP" Mutt just shipped all the country players to the Bahamas and recorded them there. We comp'ed them in the mix back in Switzerland. Paul's sound is pretty unique with all the delays and octave devises he uses , so his sound is pretty much already there. We did have to mult the steel up to be able to move it's position around in the mix etc. The editing of so many great lix was the hard part!!"
