Does anyone out there use this pedal and what do they think of it?I'm using one now while i save up for a Hilton.The only thing i don't like about it is the short pedal travel,otherwise o.k .-Jim |

I used a Dunlop a few years back, and the only problem I encountered was that after some use the teeth wear down on the nylon ratchet system resulting in gear slippage and pedal malfunction. |

Yes David,i can see how that would be a problem.There is a good amount of lube on there now,so i'll keep an eye on it.Do you happen to know what they use ?(lube)---Jim |

Jim,
I carry one of those with me as a spare
just in "case". They will work fine in a pinch, or probably ok all the time..Never used mine very much for steel but I used one a lot a few years back for my Strat.

Jim,
It may be lithium grease that was used originally, but I always used a light coat of petroleum jelly and it worked fine. As was stated in another post, these are o.k. as a spare, but I believe are intended more for use with standard guitars and do not hold up as well as other units under constant usage.I would recommend eventually obtaining a Hilton pedal which are basically trouble free and work very smoothly. |
