I just recently came across a 70's Dekley S10 with case, seat, pedal for 900.00.She is in very good condition outside of needing a good ole fashion clean up.Are there still parts available and how dependable are they? |

I have about 6 Dekleys at my shop and love the guitars (obviously). What cannot be found can be made and I am glad to help you if the need arises. |

I am a Dekley player, and I and many others consider them fine guitars. They are well made, and reliable, and heavy. I am glad to see Jim has parts, but you will probably seldom need them. I dealt with the late Ed Naylor, and also Jim Gibson for some parts. I paid 1200.00 for my lefty D-10 3 years ago (a good price), and have no plans of getting rid of it. My other guitar is a Sho-Bud Lefty LDG model. Good luck with yours, sounds like a good deal. Lefty[This message was edited by Lefty on 11 May 2006 at 06:19 PM.] |

As many know I build custom pedal steel guitars with machined parts from raw material. I also buy and sell all types of steels and resonator guitars. Recently I aquired a S-12 Deckley and replaced some parts exactly like original and I was really impressed with the sound. No detuning on this guitar. If I can be of assistance to Deckley players give me a call. 770-787-5927 Thanks, Barney |

Thank you, everyone, for your input.I will be making the deal on this guitar based on your response.I'm glad to see there is someone I can call on if I need to for parts if I ever need them.I am also told that the fretboard can be replaced with a Sho-Bud 24 inch scale if need be. |
