Is there such a thing as a lightweight steel guitar case with wheels? I need wheels.... And who makes them? Is Carter the best way to go? Thanks for any help you can give me. |

Leila, I make them. Plush velour interiors, tolex covered. Light weight and strong. I make split cases. One for the body and one for the pedal rack and legs. Takes 15-20 lbs. off the total weight of the steel by splitting the cases. The body case has wheels on one end and a spring handle on the other. Makes transporting a breeze. I sent you pictures and prices. Hatton Split Cases.[This message was edited by Kevin Hatton on 21 May 2006 at 11:55 AM.] [This message was edited by Kevin Hatton on 21 May 2006 at 11:58 AM.] |

Leila the lightweight Grundorf case that Carters have available is a beauty, and it's quite light as well, but very durable. It's worth a look. |

I bought mine several years ago: it is a Wheel-EZE from Sierra, but I'm not sure that they're making them anymore. Perhaps someone else can say for sure. |

Those Sierra cases are actually made by SKB, I believe. |

Yes, you're right, they are. I guess Sierra used to modify them, glueing in custom foam blocking to hold your guitar off the bottom. If a person wanted to buy the SKB case and do their own measuring and blocking, you could put one together yourself. |

My Wheel-Ezz case protected my guitar during several planeflights, and once it fell out of a driving van on the highway, no problems. It's light and has wheels. After 3 years broke a handle, the guys at Sierra send me free replacements, they're the best(and so are the cases). Rob. |

The case used by Sierra for a D-10 is actually the SKB-H3611W. It has the wheels. Here is a link to Muscians Friend who is selling them for $179.99. You might have to modify the inside depending on the guitar model. http://www.musiciansfriend.com/product/SKBSKBH3611WTrapCasewithWheels?sku=544531 |

The Sierra cases are of great quality. I done the inside myself to fit my guitar. It has suevived many flights and road trips. Bob Dell also makes a "wheel" case. Jody. |

The nice thing about the SKB drum trap case is the guitar , legs and pedalboard will fit in it nicely. Also if you pack your legs and pedal board in a suitcase and check it you can carry on the guitar in the SKB case and it will fit in the overhead bin on airlines. |

How do you separate your pedal board from the guitar in the SBK case -- did you build a divider in? Thanks, Boo |
