I might be needing to pack my D10 for shipment, and I've never shipped one before. I wonder if anyone who's done this could give me some advice on the safest way to get it through the system in good condition. Thanks.Gabriel |

i've found that ' Throw Me ! (you b-------s)" has a better effect on the handlers than " Fragile / Handle w: Care " |

I shipped one to England this Past January, via Fex Ex. I packed the steel with Bubble Wrap in the case, and Boxed it with foam pack around the case in the box. Buyer said it arrived in great shape. Took about a week in transit. MSA D10 8/2 |

Carter has some good tips on their website. I used that as my guide when shipping a pedal steel a few weeks ago. |

Two of the steels I bought were packaged in foam peanuts inside of a cardboard box. Both arrived OK but the case was left exposed since the outside carton had ripped and the peanuts shifted all around leaving the steel case right next to the cardboard. Click here for some packing ideas I used. I have since gone to the Peavey style corners for shipping amps, since that leaves them totally suspended from all carton surfaces by 4" to 6". For the steel I have bubble wrapped it twice, then 2 layers of cardboard. Another and probably better alternative is to pack it in a double layer of 3/4" foam insulation and then double cardboard. My web site link below shows some of the amp packing ideas.
