I would like to put in a plug for a great steel bar at a very good price. I have two of Jim Burden's Bullet Bars, a 7/8" and 15/16" bored out bar. I find them as good if not better than the famous bars we often see mentioned on this Forum and I have them both at the same sizes..The best thing is he will make them to exactly your dimensions and not just the standard off the shelf size.
If you want a great bar contact Jim at http://www.bulletbars.com

I got one of Jim's bars a little shorter than my BJS bar. It has a recess with nicely rounded edges on the flat side of the bar. It's a little nimbler than the BJS bar, fun to use for bar slants, and it sounds great. An excellent bar, a well crafted piece of steel.

I had several FSGC players try my Bullet Bars last night and they were very impressed with the tone and how they handled.
They were happy to know they could get the odd size and weight they wanted in a SS chrome plated bar. Just want you to know I'm not financially involded with these bars.I just want the world to know there are other outlets out there for a good bar to be had.

Sounds interesting. How long does it usually take to get one of these?

Howard, it has been a while since I bought mine from Jim, but we conversed over email about specs and what he had in stock. I had my bar in a week or so.

While I can't speak for Jim, I imagine it mainly depends on what you're looking to have made, if the materials are right on hand for him, etc.

I am very pleased with my experience and suggest to anyone looking for a good quality bar to contact Jim Burden.
