Just picture one being shiny black and thats mine. Fred you played mine,Is it killer or not. I had a friend come by yesterday that just got a new D-10 of another brand and he went on and on about this guitar. Like i said before i dont know the owner or the guy that builds these but they truly have a great guitar. This tone with the George L 10-1 beats all iv had so far |

I'm still really liking my D10. It was the first Rains done in Empire Mahogany as I supplied the mica. Now I see that at least one other one is that color. I can't post any pics at the moment.Nice steels... ------------------

The man that builds these Rains guitar's goes by the name of Gary Carpenter. He lives 5 miles from me and is one heck of steel player. One of the best as far as I'm concerned. He is also my instructor, whenever he can break away from building these beauties. I'm very lucky to have such a great player like Gary to help me out. I consider him to be a good friend. It's a privelage to know a super talented and nice guy like that. Thanks Gary....Rick------------------

I have been considering the purchase of my second steel. Rains is rapidly moving up the depth chart. I have heard nothing but good about them and they are sharp looking as well. Can you order special colors? There is a copper to gold sunburst Mullen that I just fell in love with on their site. I must be getting old because I spend more time paying attention to the looks of the steels than Bobbe's models. Sad.....but true. |

I've had mine since Jan 1. Probably over 100 gigs. I still havn't changed strings except for a couple of .11's and one .17. It's a fine guitar for sure. Gary is a great friend and I think one of the best players period. I'm not crazy about the case. It's almost worn out already. |

Fred sold me my Rains at the last DFW show. Bob Rains was very helpful in the sales process, as was Gary Carpenter in the manufacturing stage. Super folks! Notwithstanding the inherent beauty of the guitar, it was the "tone" I heard from players like Fred, in addition to the playability that sold me on the guitar. I have owned several other "popular" brands and the Rains has been my favorite...and, the "g" string just never seems to break. ------------------

I just finished a good 2 hour practice session on my Rains and I am so amazed at the sustain. I'm picking less times and getting more notes out of this thing than I ever thought possible. It's almost like it plays it's self. Best investment I've made in my PSG education to date. I'm a firm believer learning to play is easier on a easy playing guitar. THANK YOU BILLY. |

For sure I would have to say I'm more than well please with my new Rains. It is a very find guitar the under carriage is of the best craftmindshipAs the old saying go's Get you One---------- And the Rains family continues to Grow because,,,,, of the faith Mr.Billy Carr has in his product,,,,, that he sell's, and the faith he has in his fellow man. I feel like this Steel guitar will be around for alone time and has God's smile of approvel on it. if one should be in doubt? just turn one of them babys over and just look at that craftmanshift, its a work of Art.So why not get you one that is a Rains BJBailey ------------------

My new Rains is a D10, Port Red, 10-1 PU, 8&5. Billy Carr is the person to deal with to get one of these fine guitars. I think this is best guitar I have ever owned, and Billy is a fine man to deal with. Give him a call he will put you in behind one. I love my Rains but wish it had 5 pedals instead of 4. I would like to have one with the Franklin on the first than A B C then a 5th Lowering the 3rd to a G and raising the 6th to A. If anyone had one like this i may do some trading. I bought it at St. Louis like this that someone else had built and didnt get to take it. This feedback is all simple and to the point, And i must say again they are killer. The sustain just dont quit. ETC. Gary. |
