I use a vertical knee lever which lowers the 5th and also the 10th string which works real well. |

If you lower string 6 also, you get the Franklin pedal change. |

not exactly....The verticle lever brings the B's down a half step... The Paul Pedal brings them down a full tone. I only drop 5 on the V lever ( at this time ) and drop 5,6 and 10 on the Paul Pedal |

Ok, I assumed he was droping a whole. I went to the steel and voila, that's what I was lowering. He doesn't state how far he does.[This message was edited by David L. Donald on 16 October 2006 at 09:38 AM.] |

I just lower the 5th string because I like to use it for a Bmaj7. |

I lower the 5th string on my LKV as I like it for the same reason as b0b but I also lower my 10th string on LKL along with raising my 2nd string to D# (it's tuned to C#) If I want both the 5th and 10th string lowers together it's very easy on my guitar to just push left and up at the same time. My guitar (BMI) has very easy working knee levers......JH in Va.------------------ Don't matter who's in Austin (or anywhere else) Ralph Mooney is still the king!!!

I had that change on my old guitar, and now I miss it (the 1/2 step lower), so now I'm stuck with the E-F and my B pedal to make it happen. I wish I had the flexibility that having that change in 1 lever gave....but I don't have the parts.Gabriel |

If you use B+F (back a fret) you don't get the root of the chord from the 7th string. |

Instead of lowering the viola, why didn't you just get a cello? |

Johnny Cox says to split the Franklin pull and use two seperate pulls. Says there is a world of music in each by itself also. I agree. |
