Could Mike or Dell summarize the upcoming changes to the Mullen. Will it look different? Tonal changes? Pickups? Scale or fretboard changes? Weight? Will I play better with it? Humm? Probably not.------------------ Mullen, Royal Precision, D10, Peavey Nashville 112, DD3, Peavey Session 2000, Goodrich L120 VP. |

Jim I can answer a few. The guitar will look the same from the top, with few minor changes. The pickups are different in the G2 than the Royal Precision. The tone has definetally improved. The scale and frets should be the same. The undercarriage will have numerous changes. If all goes as planned this guitar should be a little lighter, maybe 5 lbs or so. That is some info. We will not be disclosing too much more until the guitar is available. You can watch our website for changes and updates on the new G2 page. http://www.mullenguitars.com/g2.htm And make you play better, not likely since you own a Royal Precision already, but sound even better, yeah. ------------------ Mike Mantey Sales & Production Manager Mullen Guitar Co., Inc. Mike and Del!!!!What, no SD-12, or D-12 (at least according to your website)? You realize that diehard Mullen 12-string players like me (ext E9/C6) plus all the universal players, will have to migrate to other brands for future purchases? Not many of us will be willing to downgrade to fewer strings, even if the tone and features are amazing. Man, this is disappointing. I hope it's an error on the site; or you'll rethink the strategy. Is there a tech reason why this is difficult or impossible to provide? Maybe 12-string buyers are just too small a percentage of sales? ------------------ E9 lessons Mullen D-12 9+9/Carter SD-10 4+5/Webb amp/Profex II+Lexicon MPX-110 OR Line 6 Pod XT / BJS bars

John, they are just not going to be available right away. We have to write several new programs for parts, it is something we will do, it will just take a little more time. And yes the percentage of 12 string players is lower so that is not the priority model so to speak. |

Where did the model designation "G2" come from or stand for? |

The name came from 2 things: The 2nd Generation of Mullen Guitars and Del's 2 Grandson's making the guitars. |

Mike, Will the G2 replace the RP? Or, will the buyer have a choice of either? And, if the new pickup proves to be a big improvement, will it be available for us RP owners? |

We are going to still offer both guitars. The royal precision will still remain available through our dealers and us. As for the pickup, it is designed for the G2 and will not have the same effects on the Royal precision and the mounts are also different, as the G2 has wide mount and the Royal Precision is narrow mount. |
