Hi...I'm looking for the steel guitar tab for the song "Father to a sister of a though" by Pavement. It's played by Doug Easley.. anyone have anymore infor on this guy? The pedal break is outstanding on this song! If you've never heard it, the CD single should be readily available, and is well worth a listen. Any help appreciated. |

Pavement! Now, there's a group I wasn't expecting to see mentioned here! What album is that song on? I haven't really listened to those fellers since about '94, so I figure it must be from sometime after that. |

It's on Wowee Zowee, their third full studio effort, so about 94 or 95 I think. Also their best work by quite a margin (in my opinion!) Also a few alt-country-ish numbers ... We Dance, Father to a sister, grounded and Pueblo are the standout tracks. The whole album is worth hearing. It has a sprawling, epic quality not dissimilar to Exile on Main Street or Dylan's basement tapes. Eclectic stuff, but it grows on you. Cheers Ally |

Well, I'll have to go pick that up. Pavement was one of my favorite indie bands for a while. Thanks for the tip. |
