Jerry,
Glad to hear you're delving into the Christmas tabs. I guess my style, if I have one, is the "chordal melody" style. I didn't take up the pedal steel in order to play the "licks" that you hear on the country recordings. I started out 50 years ago on the 6 string lap steel in the A, high bass, tuning. Quite limited in what you could do chordal wise. I graduated to multi tunings with a triple neck Fender and then to an early Sho~Bud that was a bugger to keep in tune. I like full, rich, three finger grips that are only possible with the use of pedals and that is how I write my tabs. It isn't for everybody but it's how this left-handed Norwegian sees fit to do it.

Roger,
I got your e-mail and your tab will be leaving for Iowa today!

Erv

Bill,
Thanks for the nice e-mail! It's sure good to hear that my tabs are helping you to "give praises to the Lord on an instrument of 10 strings".

Say, CrowBear,
I counted, and out of 66 posts, 75 of them are from you! How can that be? What a deal!

I know what you are saying. I get mixed up when I have to get above 10. And in MN in the Wintertime, it gets too cold to take your shoes off!

Cecil,
I got your e-mail and your tab will be in the mail today.

Have a nice weekend, and go to church!!!!

Erv,

I've been remiss in requesting your tabs. Please send this one...I'll also send you some stamped envelopes to replenish your supply.

Best regards,

We're getting close to the end of the month. If you would like a copy of the tab for "Softly and Tenderly", you'll need to get your requests in ASAP. There is NO charge, all you need to do is ask!

Hey Erv.
I almost hate to ask this but is there any way you could send me copies of the last few months' tab again? In case you don't know, my house burned and so did most of my steel guitar music. Of course, I'm not sure I will have a steel to play the tunes on for a while but I might as well have something to play if I can repair my guitar or in case I can find another on cheap.

Thanks, gs

Gary,
I sure am sorry to hear about your house fire. I've been offering free gospel tab for about a year now. What I will do is copy all of the tab I have been offering here on the Forum and send it to you. It's the least I can do to get you back up to "giving praises to the Lord on an instrument of ten strings".
Keep the faith, brother!!!
Erv
