Barry,
Check your mail. There's also a MP3 attached, so it may take a few minutes to download.
Regards,
Nic

Faded Love...
For everyone who asked for this tab.... do yourselves a favor and order the "Just Jammin" Tablature and CDs from Fran Newman. This is an excellent way to learn to play songs such as Crazy, Pangandle Rag, Faded love, and many more.
There are 16 songs on two CDs. Jeff plays the songs on one CD, and the other CD contains all the backtracks. The booklet also contains tuning charts for the E9th setup, plus some valuable pointers on how to approach the material, etc.

OR.... Call Fran Newman and see if she can't get you a copy of "Music to Steel By" (E9th). This particular course has Faded Love, Danny Boy, Wild Side of Life, Cold Cold Heart, Release Me, Making Believe, Crazy Arms, I Love you Because, Peace in the Valley, and I Can't stop Loving You on it.

Great songs and you can learn these with just the A & B pedals and 1 knee lever that lowers 4 & 8 and 1 knee lever that lowers 2. Jeff recorded this album in 1969 and it has the great Nashville sound of the early days.

I believe someone said Fran was going to bring back some of Jeff's earlier courses.

For those wanting the C6th version, go to the Emmons website and take a look at the 52 week C6th course. All the C6th stuff was done by doug Jernigan. Doug plays some great "Chalker" style licks on lots of the songs and they are all easy to play.

Jim Stahlit did a book of the original ads years ago that he put in the news letters that the international steel convention was putting out. I have the book but,I don't have no way of getting it on the internet to you. But in the book Jim put a very interesting C6th steel page about faded love. The version he transposed for the book was the version on the C6th that Buddy Emmons did on his swinging album with Ray Pennington doing the singing. If you can find this book or anyone else has that they might send it to you. The way that Buddy did it behind Ray was totaly different than just the melodie
