I heard about this post from a fellow musician and I couldn't believe my ears. . . can someone with the ability please close this thread?! Seriously, it's ****ing ridiculous that this topic has gone 90+. . . does anyone actually practice, or do they entertain this utter stupidity instead? (That's a rhetorical question for all you lame non-playing gear heads) Yes, Aaron used the F word.

hmmmmmmm....you just added post 93 Aaron...Welcome to the club of none playing gear heads.
There are players here that actually play for fun and do not have to practice a lot to play super.
I cannot believe that you are disturbed by this thread.if you don't like it just look the other way. There are plenty of people on the forum that DO like a joke.

I just wanted to post the email I got. I guess it is wrong to have a little silly fun but it is ok to use *** as part of the profanity and then specify what you were trying to say. I guess that shows their ignorance, that they can't get their message across without it, and then send an email to hide their actions from the rest of the Forum.

Here it is:

Larry,

I'd like to avoid perpetuating any further stupidity on the forum, so, please allow me to take this opportunity to let you know what a no giging moron you are. Wanna call me a cry baby? All it took was one thread to reveal what most of the know it all's on the forum really do with their time. Pathetic.

Have a nice day,

Tex

Larry, too bad it's signed "Tex" because that implication in the body of the email indicates we who live in this great state have no sense of humor. Matter of fact that kind of message wouldn't get you a 'bump' here, more likely a "bang" ....

I think a "bang" will get the same result as a "bump", the thread still goes back to the top.

Yup!! it worked.

Edited.....Before I get threatening emails, I made this post in an effort to make a play on words and not meant to provide a path for crappy insults. This is one more funny thread and thanks to b0b he still has his sense of humor. Gee it even works with an edit, yep "bang" back to the top. LOL

Hey mickd -- nothing like a good Limeric to top off the day. Now let a greenhorn like me have a shot at it:

There once was a topic named, "BUMP"
into which many forumites did jump
'til one guy named "Tex"
we really did vex;
so he came on and showed us his RUMP.

I hate to take credit for an e-mail that I didn't write, but since Larry is such a presumptuous homo, I guess I will. I suppose that "Tex" and I are the only 2 AOL users on the forum. Contemplate that mentality for a second before reading this:

"Steel guitar not really for sale, I will not tell you how much I want, and I will not post or
provide any photos. Guitar is in good shape, as I spent so much time talking idiotic crap on the
Internet that I never learned how to play it. Of course, you will never see how awesome my guitar
is, because I refuse to provide any photos. Maybe someone else has some photos that he could post,
as there seems to be one or two people on this forum who knows how insert a photo in the body of a
post. It really doesn't matter, because I really not looking to sell the guitar. If I was, I would
be way to ignorant to figure out how to actually complete a transaction. Would you trust me to
effectively pack and ship such a valuable steel guitar, anyway? Please feel free to ask as many
specific questions as you want. I will be sure to reply in vague rhetoric. I may even get mad at
you and start a new topic that goes in to great detail about how you tried to screw me out of the
guitar, and how everyone else should avoid doing business with you. BUMP BUMP BUMP BUMP BUMP"

Aaron, I am sorry that I presumed the email was from you if it wasn't, and if it wasn't, you have my most sincere apology. This is supposed to be a clean family oriented forum and I stand behind everything else I said about profanity and name calling. It is a very small man that resorts to putting others down for things that are made up in his own mind. The disguised profanity is no different than someone beside you in a car with the dirty rap blasting in your ears. It takes an even smaller man to call manes behind the keyboard from the other side of the country.
