I've tried to retain the original flavor of the original track on most of the cuts. Moon plays with me on three songs, and on others I alternately play an Emmons and a Fender 800, keeping a balance between my own style and the Mooney style. You'll get the picture by clicking the sound samples. Live studio band: light drums, piano, bass, acoustic rhythm, fiddles, electric guitars, round neck resophonic. The songs are: 1. Streets Of Bakersfield 2. You Don't Have Very Far To Go 3. Sing A Sad Song (with Ralph Mooney) 4. Close Up The Honky Tonks 5. You Don't Care What Happens 6. You Take Me For Granted (with Ralph Mooney) 7. It's A Beautiful day 8. Somewhere Between You And Me 9. Foolin' Around 10. Everybody's Had The Blues (with Ralph Monney) 11. Cryin' Time 12. The Fender 800 I used on this CD was just sold to Josh Grange, who plays with Dwight Yokum. The guitar will be used on the Buck Owens tribute Dwight plans to record. I feel like I have sacraficed my best ram.

If you like that classic 60's sound of a Fender 800, you will love this CD, and it has MOON on it too!!!!!! How can you go wrong???? Mike really outdid himself on this one, and I was so pleased and honored that he would ask me to do the vocals on "MR.MOON" it is a really cool song that honors this legend of the the steel guitar, Ralph Mooney!!!!! I hope I don't wear it out by the end of the Holidays. Guys, if you like the Bakersfield style and sound then this is a "Gotta Have". This a refreshing take on Christmas music and Mike sure has a winner here. Also; the Tracks CD is excellent as well. Mike Martz

I think we've spoken by phone since then. If you see this and there's still a problem, please call my daytime number at 423-942-0030. I've been moving my businesses to another location, so my head is not as clear as it should be right now, but I'm quite sure the problem should be resolved by now.
