b0b,

I'm mailing mine tomorrow !

I think you will probably still disagree as you did before , when this was suggested , but I STILL believe if the forum registered members were given a vote , most would agree to a reasonable annual assessment that you calculate would keep you whole year -to- year .

It is unreasonable to think that you should dip into you and your family's pocket to keep this forum going .There are many of us who love Steel Guitar and have for many years ( 53 years in my case since I was 16)and this site is THE PLACE for those of us who enjoy , learn and even make friends from this , one of a kind , site that is run so well by you .

Just my continued mind set from long ago when someone suggested an annual assessment.

I hope some support will be given for this type arrangement by the members , so you will not have to worry about keeping this good site afloat when operating expenses exceed expectations at any given year and/ or time !

Thanks again for all the effort you put into the operation of this forum EVERY DAY !!!

Hello b0b;
Just came across this post as i don't visit this section of the forum often enough.
I will get a check in the mail to you in the next couple of days also..I want to post a thread on the Steel Players page as i know several members rarely visit this page.I know it is not in the correct topic but it will direct some more people here...Please consider a small monthly dues for this service you graciously provide- i really do not think it will offend anyone...Ron

I sent a pretty good donation to b0b in 2001.
Another year , so I will send in another one for 2002.

Let's help keep this thing going for the good of all of us.

I still say that we should send a set amount every year so b0b can depend on it.

I see there is 3000 members now, if everyone sent $25. every year that would be $75,000 .

That would enable b0b to update his equipment , for more storage (there is a lot of previous info on Bar Chatter) and faster operation.....al

I'll be sending a check, too, b0b. Thanks
so much for this great place. I agree with some of the folks above, in that an annual
fee is more than justified to keep the Forum going. No one person should have to foot the bill.

b0b, please do consider a regular subscription rate. You should not be in a position of having to dip into personal funds to keep this afloat. In fact, you should be making a profit on this venture. After all, there are many other people making a profitable living from serving the steel guitar community (or at least trying to!) and you provide a tremendous service to that community that would be sorely missed if you ever disbanded the effort. You are deserving of a profit, not just "breaking even".

Put that check book away Bob! $50 PayPal to you. I owe all of my newbie PSG experience and information to this great on line forum and its helpful members! I like the idea of annual dues from forum members to keep this thing alive as talked about in the Steel Players thread on this subject. I've paid a whole lot more for a whole lot less information elsewhere!
