Hem's new album "Eveningland" may be my favorite album to come out this year. Check it out, and listen for Bob's solos on "Dance with me" and "Lucky". If this record doesn't make at least minor stars out of this band I have lost faith in humanity. I believe Bob will also be picking his fine-sounding Guernsey dobro on this tour, yes or no Bob?

Hey Bob,

Any hometown shows planned?

Love to come out and hear the new stuff, though maybe I already missed the gig in NYC. I can't remember whether there was one or not...

Nick,
We are playing on Nov 9th at the Bowery Ballroom. I'm really looking forward to it. You are going to like the new stuff.

Herman, Its just a radio show in Santa Rosa in the morning I don't think there will be any place to put an audience. You could squeese next to me on my pac a seat but it might get awkward.

Gerald, I'll have the dobro for some dates. It depends on if we have the violin with us or not. I don't know whats happening with the dobro for the Bowery gig yet.

I'm looking forward to meeting you forum guys on the road.

Bob, what time do play at the Ballroom gig?

My dilema is, The Django Festival begins that night. I'd love to see Hem and then run over to the 11pm set at Birdland.

It was good to catch up with you after so long! Don't forget to say "hi" to Claire for me.

Anyone who gets a chance should catch this show. Check out their website for samples of their tunes.

Bob,
I enjoyed your band!
A really nice mix of instrumentaion and vocals.
Someone should start marketing a set of bells that attaches to the front of your steel!
(That girl played some really effective fills on that bell unit.)
Sorry ourt visit was so short, but good to see you in Portland.

Bob, we really enjoyed meeting you and the music at the Red Light in Atlanta. It's great to hear steel in a different setting.

Everyone go out and see these guys and gals if they are near your town. They are very musical.... Creative chord changes that come out of nowhere! Unique dynamics with the combination of a glockenspeil and double bass and lack of drums. Oh yes, and some great vocals.
