With Mike's permission I am posting this for the entire Forum to listen in to this one time show. Don

This coming Friday afternoon (April 15) from 1:00-4:00 PM (Eastern) 2004 Steel Guitar Hall of Fame Inductee Jody Carver will be appearing live and in person on my “Swingin’ West” radio show. The show will be an all Jody Carver program, in celebration of his birthday on Tuesday, April 19.
The show will feature cuts from Jody’s classic 1958 “Hot Club Of America” CD as well as live appearances on the Arthur Godfrey radio show, in concert and from the 2004 Hall of Fame show in St. Louis. You will also hear recordings with Jody as the session steel guitarist with Elton Britt, Rosalie Allen, Vaughn Monroe, the Count Basie Orchestra and others. You will also hear songs that Jody’s dad, the legendary Zeb Carver wrote for Roy Rogers and Gene Autry as well as some of Jody’s favorites by other artists. Jody will discuss these recordings and other career highlights with me in the studio on air on Friday afternoon.

Jody has had much heartbreak since his steel guitar Hall of Fame induction, including the loss of his wife of more than 50 years. I would really appreciate as many of you as possible to listen and give your moral support to Jody. In fact, he would welcome phone calls in the radio studio on Friday as well. The show can be heard world wide by clicking the listen link of either Windows media player or Quick Time on my “Swingin’ West” web site www.swinginwest.com or also on www.wvof.org
Thank You!
Mike Gross

A "bump" for my friend Jody Carver, and for Mike Gross for spotlighting Jody's career on his Swinging West show.

I have all of my "prompts" set to receive this special radio show featuring my friend Jody Carver and his "timeless" musical contribution. Jody is truly an Icon and plays stuff that I can only wish that I could play!

Thank you again Jody for all that you have done for our musical venue. Luv ya,

Be sure to have your dial set for this great show tomorrow.
You won't believe your ears at some of the things that Jody has done with his steel guitar. A master of the instrument and a great man to boot.

You're welcome - happy to do it.
This is the first time I've heard the Hall Of Fame Induction Recording. Jody's always telling me how terrible he sounded at it - I thought he sounded great! I think he was maybe just nervous . .
