I know this is a steel forum, but I think most of you steel players play with Country bands, and consequently would probably know a few fiddle players, good, bad or indifferent.
I require the former.

I need a Fiddle Player for a session on a couple of country tracks, reading WON'T be required, but being in tune and able to copy a few simple fills and invent a few more would be the criteria.
Good pay, good fun and good appreciation (and credits) to the right guy.
Studio is located in Coventry.
Call me anytime 0781-687-2166.

Did you find a fiddler ?

I know several ! That could do it !
But it would have to be over the internet
no one is headed to England .

One I have in mind is a young lady of 11 or 12
but she can out do the best .
she reads so if you have notation she will do
what ever you want .

We have three good fidders, Basil. I don't know whether Georgina plays country, but I've heard her listen to anything played to her and play it straight back, in front of a live audience.
We also know Ralph Allin, a true reading pro who goes more towards jazz for his own stuff, and Rick who is a top folk player who is very familiar with Bluegrass.
The Malvern area is full of musicians!
Cheers

Basil , I record fiddle here for some studios in the UK . I use Charlie Arkins or Tony Fitzgibbon and get good results. I can work with files ( WAV or SDII ) or audio. I use the regular post to send it as the information is too great to e-mail .

Thanks for the offer Richard, Charlie and I go back a long way, (1969 the Virginians)
Whenever the opportunity arises I will put the work your way for sure, but this time we have managed to "Snare" a Nashville player who's on tour.
We'll keep in touch.
