Jim, per the eBay listing:
quote:
THIS WAS GOING TO BE A LAP STEEL GUITAR MADE BY THE FAMOUS JOHN MONTELEONE OF ISLIP NEW YORK. HE MADE WHAT YOU SEE HERE FOR A MUSICIAN FRIEND OF MINE THAT KNEW MR MONTELEONE.

Note the seller says: HE MADE WHAT YOU SEE HERE

If I didn't know better, I'd say that the "piece" was misrepresented.

Nobody trying to disrupt anything here. Just hoping to save someone from being scammed.

You do believe that misrepresenting a "work of art" is a scam, don't you Jim?

I don't know, maybe you could have read the eBay listing...................

Reading is fundamental!

quote:
I just don't get the attitude...plus it's odd when Curt implies he has no idea who Monteleone is, then later talks about his great reputation. Huh? Sounds like someone trying to start a dustup to me.

No Jim, it's not odd. I took your advice and read up on Monteleone. I found out he is a renowned luthier.

Renowned luthier or not, that "piece" on eBay is NOT from Monteleone, so eBay should be notified of the misrepresentation.

Surely you can agree on that...........

No reason to be on the offensive here.

I just don't get the attitude...

Thats because there is no attitude to get!

Hi guys ;I also talked to Mr.Monteleone this morning and verified everything he told Mike.He was very appreciative of our concern and thanked all those who notified him of this fraud. What bothers me the most is this idiot could have called and verified it himself instead of calling someone a name like a two year old .Well it's done now and I can settle my blood down for awhile.

The seller ended the auction early. It was a nine day auction and he pulled the plug early. A wise move.
