Well, isn't Imus as much a "product" as anyone else on TV.
A common misconception is that the content of television is its product. Content is simply a marketing display. The audience is the real product.

We are the product of television. We are what the broadcast industry sells to its customers. Television's customers are advertisers, not consumers.

You're right, Bobby, sad to say, but only because too many of I, you, he, she, and even it, allow it, despite the power each of us has.

b0b,

You seem like a fair and reasonable man. Just watch the show one time. Get the real picture for yourself.

Yes, you'll have to drag yourself out of bed at 3:00AM PST.....or...just tape a show and watch it later.

I hate most TV as anyone today. It's idiocy and lies. So with that in mind, Imus is no different, except, that there are really some great moments, musical and otherwise, that makes it worth wading thru the 3 hours to get some laughs/insight/acknowledgement/even inspiration.

Imus is really raising some shackles here, and I don't get it. You don't like him?, then change the station. That's all.

But b0b...you oughta give Imus a once-over.
See for yourself.

There is a guy that is on the Imus show occasionally and he imitates the Rev Falwell and Jack Nicholson; I think he is hilarious. I don't remember his name but his daughter is on the TV show, "Reno 911".

bOb,
Frightening but true. Kids are raised not by parents but by the media. The content of tv and mags is there to get us exposed to ads.

Everybody,
Would most people regard him as a liberal? I don't know because I don't listen to any of the ranting and yelling in the media.

I hope this isn't the guy who usually shows up in some kind of disquise, does blues numbers, and who recently commented (during a World Series remote show, if I'm correct) on a particular woman (can't remember her name), saying ". . . the smartest thing to come out of her mouth was Einstein's p----."

Yeah, hilarious.

I wasn't referring to Rob Bartlett; I think that his name is "Greg Gingari" or something close to that. If he or a C&W group are performing, then I watch.
