Wayne Since this is still a fairly new pickup and many folks have not yet tried it, we'd suggest asking Al Brisco (email: steelcan@steelguitarcanada.com ) this as he has tried them and has them on his new Carter. Also, here's a post about sound samples, including the Lawrence XR16-10 and XR16-12 pickups: http://steelguitarforum.com/Forum5/HTML/004064.html Hope that helps! Wayne. I put one of these in A Zum and in an Emmons LeGrande II and they worked great in both of these guitars. In fact, I think I might like this one even better than the L-710. I've heard these these work really great in the Carter steel too. In any case, I don't think you would be disappointed. |

I just put a xr 16 in my Carter & its seems to have a little more ballsy tone than my e66 had. They say its (all in the hands) so I guess this p/u is good for my hands too because it sure makes my steel sound better!!!ps. I really like my Carter!! ------------------ JIM "Carter SD10" "73" MSA S10, "74" LTD & NASHVILLE 400, Profex II "55" Esquire, "63 Epiphone, "63" Precision, "71" Jazz |
